The new 2019 Whyte T-130 takes the playful, do-it-all attitude of its award-winning predecessor and massively updates it with more capable suspension, latest generation Whyte OTO geometry & a refined build kit. With a brand new carbon frame, the 2019 Whyte T-130C R brings the top-level frame to an affordable price point. Featuring an NX Eagle 12-speed groupset, RockShox's Revelation DebonAir fork with the new Charger damper. The build is rounded off with SRAM Guide T 4-Pot brakes, a KS LEV-Integra dropper post and WTB ST 29mm rims with Maxxis front and rear specific, tubeless ready 2.6 wide tyres. With a ground-up re-design for 2019, the T-130 has been built around Whyte's latest QUAD suspension architecture that can be found on the S-150 and G-170. The suspension kinematics have been improved in two key ways; the dynamic performance of the leverage ratio, and the use of the latest Metric shock technology for maximum telescopic stiffness and performance. Whyte's award-winning Trail geometry makes a return, and this time it's even better thanks to the Optimised Trail Offset (OTO) philosophy. With a reduced offset fork, the Whyte T-130 has an increased trail for improved steering stability, as well as a more neutral steering feel as a result of the mass of the fork and wheel being moved closer to the steering axis. Recent tyre and wheel rim development has moved the bar in what's possible with a modern mountain bike; tubeless technology, new rubber compounds, latest tyre casing design and wider rims have all meant that the shift in performance capability for the 2019 Whyte T-130 is nothing short of staggering. The improvements in capability thanks to the refined geometry, 2.6 wide tyres and sharp handling has allowed Whyte to introduce 140mm of fully exploitable front travel. The end-product is a ride which far excels its numbers, and sets the bar high for mid-travel trail mountain bikes.
