The Merida ONE-SIXTY 800 is one of the biggest showstoppers in the full suspension range. Fully at home on the demanding tracks of the Enduro World Series, ridden by Toni Ferreiro, the ONE-SIXTY has also gained press accolades. FLOW calls it ‘a genuine contender as the best trail bike we’ve ridden at this price point’ and ‘it just looked right – the right angles, the right components, at the right prices.’ Merida One-Sixty-800 Highlights One-Sixty Lite Frame. A truly agile Lightweight 6066 series triple butted and hydroformed aluminium frame with smooth welding. Including a full carbon rocker arm for even more stiffness and reducing central weight around the bottom bracket. A Tapered head tube and Boost standard bolt through axles for precise handling. ‘Smart Entry’ cable routing for rattle free running. Float Link Suspension. The lower shock mount moves with the system to deliver plushness and pedalling efficiency. Our engineers can precisely influence the transmission ratio and progression, which means that a ‘Float Link’ system is very sensitive, delivering great support in mid-travel and the appearance of more than the model name suggests. Our ‘Float Link’ rear ends create the feeling of almost bottomless travel whilst remaining perfectly controlled when climbing. Trunnion Shock Mount. A trunnion mount shock gives our frame designers more flexibility by using a shorter shock with increased stroke. Combined with the ball bearing bushing of the upper mount, shock sensitivity is increased, and the suspension performance can be perfectly tuned. Geometry. Race proven and loved by the international cycling press, our ONE-SIXTY combines super short 430 mm chainstays for increased agility and playfulness, with a long reach, slack head angles and a low centre of gravity, delivering an aggressive enduro geometry. Boost Technology. ‘Boost’ standard front & rear. The extra 6 mm rear hub and 10 mm front hub spacing in comparison with conventional hubs brings the width up to 148 mm / 110 mm and allows for a shallower spoke angle for an even stiffer and stronger wheel. On top of that, the chain line moves outwards – an important requirement for short chainstays. 0 Available as a combination of carbon front end and 6016 aluminium rear or as an all-aluminium version. Carrying only a small amount of extra weight over the carbon/aluminium frame version, this offers an excellent alternative for riders preferring an all-metal setup or those on a tight budget. All 2019 models will come with a full carbon rocker arm for even more stiffness and reduced weight."
