Sram Red eTap AXS is much more than a simple evolution of its predecessor, it is a revolution, a fully integrated approach to design a groupset that empowers ever more capable riders and the diverse range of bikes that they choose to ride. The recent development of the 10 tooth hardest gear for 12-speed cassettes has allowed Sram to re-think gear ratios to offer more range and a smoother gear progression. The Red AXS rear derailleur moves across this range harmoniously, with one cage length fits all compatibility for any of the Red AXS cassette and chainset options. The derailleur utilizes an innovative form of the clutch system seen on mountain bike derailleurs known as Orbit technology. Sram engineered a silicon fluid damper specifically for road application that keeps the chain in check while placing absolutely no additional resistance on the shifting spring mechanism. The ergonomically designed electronic AXS shift-brake lever cancels out the variation in required shifting pressure over time that mechanical systems are subject to. There is also no delay whatsoever from pushing the paddle to derailleur movement. Reach adjustment in the levers mean they can always be perfectly positioned in your hand for a near telepathic shifting and braking experience. The Sram AXS mobile app allows the rider to personalize how the lever paddles control the groupset on the fly while also being able to view connected feedback on ideal service times and battery levels of all AXS parts. Sram suggest twenty hours shifting battery life on the rear derailleur, in other words enough juice for over 620 miles under typical shifting use, charging in the included cradle takes just one hour. The shift-brake lever takes one CR2032 lithium cell which should provide two years of battery life. Sram have taken a connected approach to all AXS lines meaning that you can pair any of the lever buttons with any other component within the AXS range. This means if you wanted to integrate a drop bar groupset with a Rockshox Reverb dropper seat post on a gravel bike it‚¨"s now as easy as dropping it into your frame and assigning it a button in the app. The rechargeable batteries can also be swapped between components and are exactly the same type used with Sram Eagle AXS and Reverb AXS."

Specialized Chisel Comp X1 2019 Mountain Bike Specialized Chisel Comp X1 2019 Mountain Bike from £1350.00. Specialized Chisel Comp X1 - Mountain Bike If you're thinking about taking the plunge into XC racing, do it with the Chisel Comp. It embodies all of the qualities you'd expect from an XC race bike, like light overall weight, incredible stiffness, and a race-oriented geometry‚¨all with one-by gearing, too. Consider it the vessel that's bringing performance to the masses. Traditional welding methods create frame joints by connecting tubes to cylinders, leaving the performance and security of the connection up to the skill of the welder. D'Aluisio (DSW), however, allows us to move the joint away from the area of the highest stress, making for a lighter frameset that's stiff, compliant, and incredibly strong‚¨the optimal characteristics of a hardtail XC rig. So what does this mean for you? You'll be powering up climbs, shredding singletrack, and everything in between on a bike that has you questioning why alloy's gotten such a bad rap. And to further improve this feel, the Chisel also features our XC geometry, which took our previous XC race geo and added some trail DNA to the mix. This equates to a longer top tube, a shortened head tube, and a slacked out front-end, the result of which is a tremendous increase in downhill stability, plus a wider range of fit. And just as importantly, this doesn't require any sacrifice of climbing proficiency. The build on this Chisel features a Shimano SLX one-by setup for ease of use along with a wide-range of gears. You'll also find powerful MT500 Deore hydraulic disc brakes, the renowned RockShox Judy fork with up to 100mm of travel (size-specific), and 25-millimetre-wide alloy wheels that are optimized for weight and traction. Key Features Given its lightweight and ultra-stiff characteristics, M5 aluminium was the natural choice for the frame's construction. And when complemented with our speed-focused XC 29 Geometry, D'Aluisio Smartweld technology, and internal cable routing, you get a bike that compromises nothing in delivering explosive speed, confident handling, and hassle-free maintenance. Rocks and bumps are soaked up via the RockShox Judy Gold fork with 90/100 millimetres of travel (size-specific). It features proprietary technology from RockShox, like its Solo Air‚Ę spring, that maintains an ideal equilibrium, as well as being one of the lightest air springs on the market. The Shimano Deore SLX rear derailleur is durable, precise, and will keep you shifting crisply for miles to come.
Sram Red eTap AXS 2x Rim Brake Road Groupset Sram Red eTap AXS 2x Rim Brake Road Groupset from £1350.00. Sram engineered a silicon fluid damper specifically for road application that keeps the chain in check while placing absolutely no additional resistance on the shifting spring mechanism. The front derailleur features Sram Yaw pivot technology which negates the need for a trim feature even when cross chaining, the derailleur is compatible with tyres up to 42c. The ergonomically designed electronic AXS shift-brake lever cancels out the variation in required shifting pressure over time that mechanical systems are subject to. There is also no delay whatsoever from pushing the paddle to derailleur movement. The 2x groupset features an optional sequential shifting feature in which the rider simply shifts up or down and the electronics figure out which derailleur to move. The rear derailleur can also be set up to compensate for a front derailleur shift automatically, this makes it easier for the rider to maintain an even cadence as the jump down or up is less pronounced. Roval CL 50 Wheelset Roval CL 50 Wheelset from £1354.96. Roval CL 50 Wheelset (Rim Brake) After designing the CLX 50s, we realized that an affordable, race-worthy carbon wheelset was nowhere to be found‚¨until the CL 50 Disc was developed, that is.¬† Sharing rims with the CLX 50s, the CL 50s feature many of the benefits as their higher-end siblings. Even though the CL 50 is similar in weight to many wheels in the ‚¨Slightweight‚¨ż category, aerodynamics came at the forefront of the development. With this, we jumped headlong into Computational Fluid Dynamics computer modeling to arrive at various rim shapes that could make the CL 50 as fast and light as possible. It took a while, but we narrowed the rim shape down to three contenders that were then CNC machined into rims, built into wheels, and put into the Win Tunnel. In the tunnel, we tested every wheel, ours and the competition's, with a 24C tire (measuring 26C), as tires can drastically affect testing. We chose a modern-width tire to design our rims around, because they not only allow for less tire pressure (which results in more comfort and less rolling resistance) but are also just as aerodynamically efficient when paired with the correct rim width. Now it was time for final testing validation. The result? A 50mm-deep, 1515-gram clincher wheelset that's race-ready and wallet-friendly. ¬†
