The Castelli Gabba 2.0 Short Sleeve Jersey is the result of a collaboration between cycle wear giant Castelli and Cervelo Test Team rider Gabriel Rasch, to produce the ultimate racing jersey. Rasch wanted to create something he felt all racers needed and that was a jersey that protects from the wind and rain but also feels as light as your dry racing gear. This concept was brought to life by the Windstopper X-Light Plus fabric which provides near perfect wind and water protection. Don't be fooled by the durable nature of this fabric, as it is as light and breathable as your dry weather road jersey and quite possibly more comfortable. This Castelli short sleeve jersey has a performance fit for maximum comfort in the saddle and great aerodynamics. The featured rear storm flap construction protects from any wheel spray and the silicone gripper keeps your jersey comfortably in place, preventing it from riding up. Strategically placed NanoFlex fabric inserts provide additional comfort and temperature control so that you don't overheat. The Gabba features 3 rear pockets with drain holes so you're not carrying any extra weight in water and the entire jersey weighs in at only 158g! This jersey also features a rear reflective trim that that will improve your visibility in low-lit conditions. HOW COME NO ONE EVER MADE A BETTER GABBA? In 2010 Castelli introduced the Gabba to the pros and changed the way pros race in the rain. And cold. And ride in training. Every other performance cyclist soon saw the need for a Gabba in his or her wardrobe. We've made some minor updates along the way, but for the fourth-generation Gabba we started with a clean slate to make a significant upgrade. That involved moving it to water resistance, which meant developing a new exclusive GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® fabric. We made the front-facing fabric warmer with a light brushing, while the rear-facing fabrics are lighter yet more water repellent than the previous Gabba. We made it better in the rain through seam sealing on the shoulders and a covered zipper. Based on Team Ineos testing we figured it's better to have two pockets that are easier to access with gloved hands, though we provide an internal sleeve to keep your pump or other items from moving around. It's not easy to make a better Gabba. A warm fleece-lined water-resistant version is used on the front facing surfaces while a lighter, stretchier and more breathable fabric on the back improves comfort and is also more water-resistant than the previous Gabba. The Gabba ROS features additional weather proofing in the form of seam sealing on the shoulder and a covered zipper.
